Terrestrials: Watercolors of Everyday Life by Ouchul Hwang I am pleased to share that my new watercolor art book, Terrestrials: Watercolors of Everyday Life , is now published in paperback. This book brings together a contemplative collection of watercolor paintings created during the early spring of 2019 in Shanghai. At that time, I was observing ordinary scenes around me with unusual attention: children walking through public spaces, trees shifting in the changing season, birds pausing on the road, rain softening the edges of the city, rivers reflecting light, and quiet human encounters appearing briefly before disappearing again. Terrestrials is not a book about spectacular subjects. It is a book about the presence hidden inside everyday life.
